Neuron Project at Hewlett-Packard

I had the great opportunity to join HP as an summer intern in 2018. As an intern, I joined the Global Experience Design team and filled a User Experience Design role. During my time at HP, I was assigned to be part of Neuron, a forward-thinking product. The Neuron team was consisted of interns from marketing, business and full-time engineers. Due to confidentiality reasons, I am unable to showcase the project itself but you will be able to see my journey at HP in the pictures below.

To accelerate the product design process, the Neuron team employed the Design Sprint agile methodology created by Google Ventures half way through the project.

Intern Project Fair

Near the end of the internship, HP hosted an intern project fair in which all summer interns got to showcase the projects they have been working. It was a great opportunity to get feedback and connect with people from all around the company.

Refinement

After getting feedback from previous user research, the Neuron team built a medium fidelity prototype to test the usability of the system and overall concept with target users in real context.

Final presentation

At the end of the internship, the Neuron team had the opportunity to give a presentation to a large audience, including VP of Design, Ken Musgrave, along with directors from UX, ID, and R&D at HP. Overall, the project was well-received and executives were interested in moving forward with the concept.
